Root Canal

Endodontic treatment or a "root canal" is the debridement, disinfection, shaping, and filling of the internal anatomy of a tooth. This treatment is indicated when a tooth has bacterial invasion into the inner space of the tooth (i.e. pulp). Most commonly this is due to a cavity, fracture, and/or large existing filling or crown.
